All postage to the UK is totally free! We send all items by Special Delivery on the next working day. However, please do allow 5 working days for delivery - we all know what the post can be like! We ship international parcels insured to their value. All items are sent carefully packaged and in a postage bag so they will be safe throughout their trip to your front door.
We do ship all over the world. Charges for this vary but here is a rough guide:

Of course, buying vintage online can be a tricky business. We do list measurements for all items and describe all flaws. However, if you find your item is just not right for you, please do get in touch within 7 working days of receiving the item. Email returns@decembervintage.co.uk and we will help you with the refund process. Please note, postage will be at your own cost unless we have misrepresented the item. We can only accept returned items if they are in the same condition as when sold.
We measure all items carefully and provide the measurements in the item listing. We also provide a rough estimate to sizing. Please note, this acts as a guide. It is far more accurate to go by the measurements. Remember to leave ease for fit - we list the garment measurements, not body measurements.
We measure our items on a flat table with a flexible tape measure. In the case of stretch materials, we will measure both stretched and unstretched. We will mark hips as “free” if they are significantly larger than the waist (at least 20 inches difference). If you would like to know this measurement, we will gladly measure it for you. We strive to bring you the best quality in our garments. If anything is given less than good status, it instantly goes into our discounted section. We use the following criteria to judge the condition of our items:
Mint - Perfect, never worn condition.
Near Mint - No flaws or stains. Very small signs of wear (eg: faded labels, some loose stitches)
Excellent - Some small flaws that do not affect the wearing of the garment. No stains.
Very Good - Some flaws or marks that would be expected from worn clothing. Easily repaired/cleaned and low visibility.
Good - Some flaws that need repairing or small stains. Can be restored.
Fair - Damage/stains from heavy wear. May need extra work to repair (eg: re-heeling shoes)
How do we price our items? Well, we look carefully at the competition and meticulously plan our prices alongside this to ensure you get the best value for your money. Prices vary with each individual item based on its condition, age and appeal but you can be sure that you are always getting the best for your pennies.
We photograph our clothes carefully on our model Doris. When appropriate, we’ll use a double layered petticoat underneath the dress/skirt to show it off to its full potential. If we do, we will always mention this in the listing and show images of it without the petticoat so you know exactly what you’re buying. We only use photo editing software to extract the garment from the background which produces a clearer image - never to alter the appearance of the garment in any way.
By buying from December Vintage, you accept the terms and conditions as follows:
- Vintage clothes can be very old indeed. This means that, unless otherwise stated, they will not be in perfect condition. They may show small signs of wear and tear. However, we do only sell items that are in a wearable condition. Any noticeable flaws are described in the item description. We do not wash clothes before sending but if needed, we may spot clean and iron on a low heat before listing.
- We measure all our clothes and provide these measurements in each listing. These measurements are garment measurements only. You will therefore need to ensure your own measurements are smaller than those listed to allow ease. We also provide guides to sizing. These are rough guides only- please do refer to the measurements.
- Payment is made via Paypal and must be made within 2 working days of buying item. If payment is not made within this time, we reserve the right to re-list the item. If you are having difficulties paying for the item, please email becky@decembervintage.co.uk to discuss options available. Discount codes can only be used once, unless otherwise stated, and before 11:59pm on expiry date.
- We offer refunds on the condition that the buyer emails us within 7 working days of receiving item to arrange the return. Unless we have misrepresented the item, postage will be at buyer’s own cost. We can only accept returned items if they are in the same condition as when sold.
